Specialist / Custodian - Job Description
Job
Summary:
Responsible for daily
care of animals, cleaning and sanitation of cages and kennels, and
cleanliness of hospital and grounds. Responsible for maintenance
of cleaning equipment.
Pay
Scale: $7.00 – 10.00 per hour
Minimum
Qualifications:
Knowledge:
Some knowledge and familiarity with
domestic cats and dogs.
Basic cleaning procedures and
maintenance of cleaning equipment.
Ability:
Work unsupervised to complete duties
efficiently and thoroughly
Able to perform moderate
physical labor and lift 40#
Identify and administer
medications
Understand and carry out
oral and written instructions
Read and write
English
Identify problems with
animals, document and notify technician and doctors
Education: High
school. Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Hands
on experience with cats and dogs.
Custodial
experience.
Experience
working with animals helpful.
